Itinerary
Day 1 : Day 1 – Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station → Phuentsholing
Arrive at Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station and meet our local representative. Proceed by road to Phuentsholing, approximately 180 km / 3–4 hours. Phuentsholing is the gateway to Bhutan and lies on the Indo-Bhutan border. Evening at leisure with an option to explore Bhutan Gate and the local market. Overnight: Phuentsholing.
Day 2 : Day 2 – Phuentsholing → Thimphu
After breakfast, complete the required immigration and permit formalities at Phuentsholing. Proceed to Thimphu, approximately 145 km / 5 hours, via Chukha. Thimphu is the capital of Bhutan, situated in a scenic Himalayan valley. Evening at leisure to explore the surroundings. Overnight: Thimphu.
Day 3 : Day 3 – Thimphu → Punakha Excursion via Dochula Pass
After breakfast, proceed for a day excursion to Punakha/Wangdue. En route, visit Simtokha Dzong and stop at Dochula Pass (3,100 m), known for its 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens and Himalayan views on clear days. Continue to Wangdue and Punakha. Visit Punakha Dzong and the Punakha Suspension Bridge before returning to Thimphu in the evening. Overnight: Thimphu
Day 4 : Day 4 – Thimphu Sightseeing → Paro
After breakfast, enjoy Thimphu sightseeing covering the Art & Craft School, National Institute of Traditional Medicine, National Library, Buddha Dordenma Statue, Bhutan Simply Museum, Folk & Heritage Museum, Motithang Mini Zoo and Drupthob Nunnery Temple. Spend some free time exploring the local market before transferring to Paro, approximately 1.5 hours. Overnight: Paro
Day 5 : Day 5 – Paro Sightseeing → Phuentsholing
After an early breakfast, check out and proceed for Paro sightseeing. Visit Drukgyel Dzong Ruins, Paro Airport View Point, Dungtse Lhakhang, Nya-mey Zam and Ugyen Pelri Palace. Continue the scenic drive to Phuentsholing in the afternoon and check in at the hotel. Overnight: Phuentsholing
Day 6 : Day 6 – Phuentsholing → Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for your transfer to NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport. Assistance will be provided for departure formalities. Tour ends with beautiful memories of Bhutan.
